Welcome to Celtic Spirit, the first whisky web-journal! Launched in 2000, Celtic Spirit aims to provide a platform for information on Celtic Whisky and its heritage, in the widest sense. We especially want Celtic Spirit to be a resource for information that is not easily found in other whisky sources.
Celtic Spirit offers you a wide range of interesting whisky-related topics; from light-hearted features to in-depth articles; from pure hypotheses to solid facts. We believe there is nothing wrong with speculating, but always hope to make clear where hard facts run out and speculation takes over. The features and articles will be updated on a regular basis or added to as material comes in.
At launch, we have gathered a small group of enthusiastic people from professional spirit journalists to private whisky enthusiasts coming to us from all over the globe. What we have found and continue to search for, is a group with a dedicated desire to write about various topics related to Celtic Whisky. We very much hope to expand the group, so if you would like to see your name on a whisky web-publication ... here's your chance: let us know what you'd like to write about!
We'll be adding new features as time goes on and one we are planning is a series of short stories 'with a whisky twist'. If you're a budding writer and have an idea for just such a story, get in touch to discuss details!
